Biographical
Timothy P. Donahue, Sr. has been the sole shareholder of Donahue & Associates LLC in Birmingham, Alabama from 2002 until early 2024, when he joined Upchurch Watson White & Max Mediation Group as a full-time neutral.
He has had a successful litigation practice specializing in governmental and municipality law, employment law, construction, products liability, and workers’ compensation.
Tim regularly assists attorneys, businesses and individuals in resolving lawsuits and disputes by providing mediation and other dispute resolution services. Although he is a 40-year litigator, Tim continues to demonstrate his belief that mediation is the most efficient, expeditious and cost-effective way to handle controversies.
Tim has tried more than 150 jury trials from both the plaintiff and defendant perspective. He has been a Certified Court Mediator since 2012 and uses the skills, experience and knowledge developed throughout his career in the resolution of lawsuits and in performing other dispute resolution services throughout the state of Alabama.
Tim has been recognized by multiple legal and community organizations. He was selected as a Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only society consisting of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Tim is peer-rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, which recognizes the highest level of legal ability and ethical standards, and has been listed regularly by Alabama Super Lawyers.
